This project is based on the work connotation of "EE Capacity". The counseling region of the project includes: Taichung, Nantou, Changhua and Kinmen Counties, the four counties and cities. And according to the five major programs of USA’s environmental education capacity building programs, include: professional leadership, capacity building learning, technical support, research assessment and partner promotion.
The purpose of the project is to integrate the resources and professional manpower of industry, government, educational institutions, non-governmental organizations and other parties in the Central Region to form a partnership chain so as to effectively develop the characteristics of environmental resources in the central region, solve the problems in the central region environmental issues and promote environmental education. including: assisting the personnel of environmental education institutions and fields of partner units in the Central Region with the guidance and certification of environmental education; integrating professional manpower and resources of all parties to hold environmental education capacity building courses and seminars to enhance the environmental professional competence of partner team members and volunteers. For short, medium- and long-term environmental education, an environmental education evaluation mechanism is set up to evaluate the effectiveness of environmental education. Partner exchange workshop: (1)In addition to partner exchange and share their promote results for air pollution, food and agriculture education. (2)‘Keep cigarette ash and butts not falling’ capacity enhancement and handmade ash bag promotion workshop and partner joint promotion for Yichung Shopping Street. (3)University environmental protection debate competition: There are 16 teams of colleges and universities to participate. Finally, the National Chengchi University won the championship. (4)Community Sustainable Development Practical Empowerment Workshop: Community partners were led to visit the community receiving subsidies from the Environmental Primary School, and were shown how to conduct organic agriculture and food Waste composting. (5)Air quality and Environmental Education one day camp: Let visitors experience the source of air pollution, how to conduct testing and play games at booths. (6)The results of the regional centers hosted by CEERC this year, and the deputy director Wenhao Zhou of the National Museum of Natural Science invited to give a speech, and arrangements made for the environmental dramas about the Keep Cigarette Ash and Butts off the Ground, the environmental education teaching demonstrations, the six EE regional centers’ booths and posters.
